Valuation surveys vessel hull and machinery

APB Marine is able to offer valuation survey on the hull and machinery of vessels from Yachts to commercial shipping of any size through their professional surveyors.

Condition surveys vessel Hull and Machinery

APB Marine can carry out condition surveys for owners who wish to put their vessels through rigorous condition monitoring schemes. Our professional surveyors are able to audit the vessel for safety management. This will ensure slips; trips and potential hazardous areas are highlighted and can be addressed “before” accidents happen resulting in lost time injuries to staff. General vessel condition against Class rules and regulations and is highlighted to deduce vessel down time due to machinery failures.

Damage Surveys Hull and Machinery

APB Marine is able survey damaged “hull and machinery” items for class, classification, and insurance purposes as we are accredited surveyors within the “Society of Consulting Marine Engineers and Ships Surveyors”

We are able to give written independent reports to owners of vessels, ports, and equipment when damage is done to their property. The reports are independent and can be able to be used in litigation.

The report will offer a solution to and specification as to “repairs” when required and we will if required oversee all works to re-establish the damages back to the original condition.

Dry-dock Surveys

APB Marine are able to carry out pre Dry-dock surveys for either class docking or general maintenance dry-docking.

APB Marine is able to proof read or write the specifications required for these dry-dockings. We will cost and submit to tender if required to the associated dry-dock facilities. We will carry out a cost base review and recommend a facility to be used taking into account location and deployment costs.

In dry-dock APB Mare are able to oversee all works and will on completion return the vessel to owners with all required certification in place. In other words we will project manage the vessels docking from start to finish if required.

On completion APB will ensure a full dry-dock report is issued to the Owners and Master of the vessel.

Ultrasonic Surveys

During the vessels Special Survey APB Marine are able to carryout a full class ultrasonic check of the vessels hull and structure to class rules and regulations. All data will be advisory and offered too owners within 2 days of completion. All highlighted problems will be offered to the owner’s superintendent immediately on completion of the survey.

If you wish a specification to be written on your behalf we are able to do this.

Your contract of building with the Yard once signed is binding against the agreed specification. APB Marine is able to view, comment and advice before the binding contract is signed. Our experts are familiar with the varied documents and can advise accordingly.

During the loading and unloading of vessels damage occurs to varied cargos.

APB Marine is able to factually report as an independent surveyor to all parties a concise report document to ensure all parties have a full overview of the “damage”.

Loading

Yachts and Small Commercial vessels are being transported on heavy lift ships between world areas. Yachts and Ships due to the fuel costs are loaded onto vessels for transportation and this requires loading surveys and approvals. APB is able to facilitate this to the owners needs

Cargo loading and stowage is critical to ensure the cargos reach their destination in good condition. APB Marine through the varied surveyors is able to achieve this.

Towage surveys

APB Marine are able to carry out towage surveys on behalf of clients who require an independent survey to approve the towing complexes to ensure the towage of craft is carried out in a safe and professional manner.

APB Marine staff has been associated with Towage and Salvage since 1994 and are well equipped to carry out these services.

We will also advice on the best practice for towage if required i.e. the use of stretchers, bridles, line thickness, and strength.
